As the Eiffel Tower for France and army knife for Switzerland, the image of the Oriental Pearl Tower is listed the top to present Shanghai. 　　

　　According to a latest survey by government in Huangpu District with more than 1,000 respondents, the Oriental Pearl Tower tops the list which seeks Shanghai’s most characteristic image. It is followed by the Bund and the Yu Garden. 　　

　　“The tower’s image displays the energy of Shanghai. It shows the spirit of the city,”said a local respondent surnamed Yu. 　　

　　It is expected the image of the Oriental Pearl Tower will be made into various souvenirs to meet the demand of tourists who travel to Shanghai in the occasions of the Olympics and the World Expo 2010.
