Shanghai World Expo(Group) Co.,Ltd. was founded on 18th February 2004 with
the joint investment from State-owned Assets Supervision & Administration
Commission of Shanghai Municipal Government, Shanghai State-owned Assets
Operation Co., Ltd., Shanghai Media & Entertainment Group, and Council for
the Promotion of International Trade Shanghai. Its registered capital is CNY
1.11 billion.
Authorized by Shanghai World Expo Organizing Committee, Shanghai World
Expo(Group) Co., Ltd. is solely responsible for the construction of World Expo
Park and World Expo Village, convention and exhibition operation during the
World Expo, onsite operation of World Expo, venue disposal and reuse after the
World Expo.
Shanghai World Expo (Group) Co., Ltd. is operated with market mechanism in
accordance with the Corporate Law of People's Republic of China. With the
establishment of Board of Directors and Board of Supervisors, Chairman is the
legal representative of the company. The functional departments include
Executive Office, Human Resource Department, Planning & Accounting
Department, Publich Relations & Liaison Department, Marketing &
Development Department and Engineering & Construction Department. President
is responsible for the daily operation of the company.
Executive Office
Responsible for the administrative management, daily operation, pushing
forward the development strategy of the group, creation of enterprise culture
and information system.
Human Resource Department
Responsible for the executive issues of human resource plan, development and
management, provide guarantee of human resource for the management and operation
of the group and for the host of the World Expo.
Planning & Accounting Department
Responsible for the strategic planning and annual operational target of the
group, through the compilation of the professional plan and financial budget,
monitor the economic activities of the group, give guidance to the reform and
re-grouping of the enterprises.
Public Relations & Liaison Department
Responsible for the planning and promotion of the image of the group to the
outside world, establishing implementing public relation strategy of the
group.
Marketing & Development Department
Responsible for the strategic master plan for the market development, plan,
and build market development system for the Expo, set the target and plan for
the project implementation, organize and complete market development project
related to the Expo.
Engineering & Construction Department
Responsible for the plan, construction and management of the pavilions and
the Expo villages, additionally, responsible for the development and
construction of other real estate of the group.
