The construction of Shanghai Expo Meteorology Monitoring System, supported by international aids, has been started. In February this year, World Meteorology Organization will take the lead in constructing two international pilot projects in Shanghai, Urban Environment Meteorology and Comprehensive Early Hazards Alarm projects.

These two pilot projects will not only provide meteorological services but also be presented to the Shanghai Expo by World Meteorology Organization as participating items. During the Shanghai Expo, World Meteorology Organization will integrate all its resources to provide refined weather services.
