An appreciation banquet was held for the sponsors of the World Expo 2010 Shanghai in Shanghai on December 22, 2006. Gathering at the banquet, representatives of the key sponsors officially established the World Expo 2010 Shanghai Sponsor Enterprises Club. The Service Plan for World Expo 2010 Shanghai Sponsor Enterprises will be implemented from January 2007. This sponsor's service plan was officially adopted by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination during this ceremonial occasion.The Plan outlines the rewards for Sponsors as approved by the bureau. It is based on the needs of sponsors and accords with customary sponsorships guidelines for similar major events such as the Olympics and the expected situations at the Expo Shanghai. The Plan is a detailed document containing the objectives, operational principles and sufficient information to guide the members of this club. The introduction of this plan allows a process of dialogue and mutual support to ensure the success of the Expo Shanghai while meeting the normal goals of major sponsors of such major events. Above all, there is encouragement through this plan for the development of successful partnerships between the Expo and interested outstanding enterprises.
