On December 12, 2006, China Mobile and the Bank of Communications signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai to jointly contribute their expertise and resources to support a successful, splendid and unforgettable World Expo Shanghai.

In the future, both parties will work closely together and cooperate at all levels in the establishing of relevant services and support for the World Expo theme - Better City, Better Life. With the integration of mobile telecommunication and financial services, it is expected that the two companies will provide high levels of services for the Expo Shanghai in 2010. They will cooperate in joint research projects focused on the development and introduction of new products.
