To provide participants with various professional services, authorised by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, with the principle of "open, fair and just", Shanghai World Expo Operation and Management Co. Ltd decided to recruit the first batch of recommended participants services suppliers from the public since October 18, 2006.

In terms of the Application for Registration of World Expo 2010 Shanghai, referred to the convention of World Expo, the host should select a batch of well-qualified recommended services suppliers through public recruitment, in order to meet the demands of participants services and to provide the opportunity for the whole society to participate in the World Expo.

The first batch of recommended participants services suppliers for World Expo 2010 Shanghai China are classified in two categories: those for exhibition planning and designing to provide participants the services of theme development, exhibition planning and designing; and those for business services to provide participants with the services of translation, visa applications of foreign staff and other business services. Respectively, the number of recommended participants services suppliers for exhibition planning and designing & business services are 15-25 and 10-15. Hereafter, the recruiter will recruit more batches of other types of recommended participants services suppliers to meet different demands.

The recruiter stipulates specific requirements in terms of applicants' qualifications: The applicant should apply individually. The applicant for recommended participants services suppliers for exhibition planning and designing should be a corporation, either in China or aboard, that is valid and established according to the law of the country in which it is registered; while the applicant for recommended participants services suppliers for business services should be a corporation that is valid as well as legally established and registered within China. The applicant should obtain the qualifications of aforesaid professional services or servicing capabilities with a suitable registered capital to the responsible services; the achievements of the applicants should be outstanding in the industry and well financed; the applicant should engage in legal operation and have a fine social image and commercial credits, with an enthusiasm to participate in World Expo 2010 Shanghai; the applicant should have a number of qualified professional staff; and also the applicant should charge reasonably.

The recruiter, Shanghai World Expo Operation and Management Co. Ltd, will review all qualified applicants based on their recruitment files and related documents. Qualified applicants must pass premier check and a final comprehensive review by the jury of experts. The result will be published after being approved by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.
