The year of 2005 is the sexcentenary of the initial ocean voyage that Zheng He, a great Chinese navigator, had ventured upon, in honor of which, Ministry of Communications of the People’s Republic of China, State Oceanic Administration and Shanghai Municipal Government jointly sponsored“The Zheng He Ocean Voyages Exhibition and International Marine Expo”held in Shanghai Exhibition Center early July of the year. This spectacular event consists of“Zheng He Ocean Voyages and China Ocean Navigation History Exhibition”,“Navigation Exhibition”,“Ocean Exhibition”,“Shipbuilding Exhibition”and“Port Exhibition.”
