On March 31, the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Shanghai Urban Planning Administration jointly launched "Solicitation of Expo Site Sculpture Project Proposals for World Expo 2010 Shanghai China". The organizers planned to set up 200 sculptures in four areas of the 5.28-square-kilometer site. The sculptures fall into five categories according to content and locations: Landmark sculptures, Sculpture at the main entrances and exits, Artistic Sculpture Corridor, Sculpture Square and Riverside Landscaping Belt Sculptures. The solicitation includes four categories except land sculptures. The deadline for the proposal submissions is 18 o'clock sharp Beijing Time, May 31, 2008.
