The Shanghai Party Chief Yu Zhengsheng, who is also a member of CPC Central Committee Political Bureau, met Mr. Loscertales, the Secretary General of the International Expositions Bureau on July 22, welcoming Loscertales' revisit to Shanghai.

Yu said during the meeting that the Chinese Government attached great importance to World Expo Shanghai 2010, and it's a big event for the nation and Shanghai. At present, various preparations for Shanghai Expo were in progress under the organization and coordination of Shanghai World Expo Bureau. Yu thanked Loscertales for his guidance and help, and asked for more suggestions and opinions during the next stage of work. Yu expects that with the help of the municipal government and the International Expositions Bureau, the international participants’contract-signing will be promoted, and the timely completion of the Expo site will be ensured.

Loscertales said the preparations of Shanghai Expo were carried out smoothly, and he believed that the Shanghai 2010 World Expo would be an excellent platform to display the social, economic, cultural, scientific and technological achievements from all over the world. He said he would try his best to support the preparations for the Expo.
