A professor from the Shanghai Maritime University lectured on
international etiquette at the Shanghai Library on Saturday, to help the host
city's image for the six-month Expo in 2010.
Bao Rixin, a professor specializing in etiquette, illustrated the finer
points of good manners and called on residents to pay close attention to the way
they behaved.
Bao said the Shanghai Expo would not only show China's development but also
its people and their behavior, so residents should learn about etiquette.
Bao's lecture was the third in a series of lectures marking the 600-day
countdown.
Other addresses have been delivered by Hong Hao, the director of the Bureau
of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, Zhou Hanmin, the deputy director general of
the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Wu Jianzhong, the director of
the Shanghai Library.
