There shall be a total of 16 corporate pavilions, among which 14 shall be in
the category of self-built pavilions and 2 remodelled pavilions. In principle,
all newly-built corporate pavilions shall be temporary constructions, and the
planned building height shall be controlled below 20 meters, featuring a
rhythmic pattern of lower buildings close to the river and higher ones away from
the river. The remodelled pavilions shall be converted from the existing old
plant buildings in the planned area, covering a floor area of 12,000 m2 and
19,000 m2 respectively.
Participating corporations may apply to the Organizer for the use of the said
plant buildings and be responsible for converting them to corporate pavilions.
The application for a remodelled corporate pavilion may be completed
independently by one corporation, or jointly by a number of corporations, which
shall be jointly responsible for the design and re-construction. The joint
remodelled pavilion must also be subject to a regulatory design and layout, and
separate exhibition sections dedicated to particular corporations shall not be
allowed.
