Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, yesterday met Joyce Hui, director of the International Promotions Department of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, to discuss Hong Kong’s participation at World Expo 2010.

Hong gave a progress report on Shanghai Expo.

Hong said the organizers will work with the Hong Kong government on the region’s pavilion and its Urban Best Practice Area case.

Hong Kong will showcase the various functions of its smart cards and how the cards improve people's lives in the UBPA.

The 1,000-square-meter Hong Kong Pavilion next to the China Pavilion will explore the theme "Hong Kong - the Infinite City" to display its achievements as well as the relationship with the Chinese mainland and the rest of the world.
