Kunshan City of Jiangsu Province will showcase its high-tech development and cultural background during World Expo 2010 Shanghai, the city mayor said during a visit to the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination.

Kunshan will also show how its works with Shanghai to improve the lives of people in both cities, said Kunshan Mayor Guan Aiguo. Guan added the whole city was looking forward to Expo 2010.

Zhou Hanmin, deputy director general of the bureau, welcomed the mayor and gave a detailed introduction on Expo preparations.

Zhou said support from neighboring cities was necessary to the success of the Expo. Zhou hoped the Expo could enhance the communication between the two cities.

Kunshan is 50 kilometers from Shanghai and has a population of 600,000.
