Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, yesterday welcomed a Japanese delegation led by Yasuhito Harayama, a senior official from the country’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Hong gave a progress report on Shanghai World Expo preparations.

Hong said he appreciated the design of Japan Pavilion and hoped the country could ink a participation deal with organizers as soon as possible.
