Singapore is seeking ideas from the public for its show at the
Shanghai World Expo. The garden city has secured a plot of 3,000 square meters
for its pavilion, the largest in its participation history.
Residents interested in the garden city's Expo plan can log on to its Website
(www.singaporeatworldexpo.com) from Monday for information regarding the
pavilion and to submit proposals for the exhibition.
Singapore, which signed a participation contract with organizers today, plans
to display its practices in achieving sustainable development and share success
stories in other aspects such as urban planning under the theme“City of
Possibilities, Transforming Lives.”

Singapore's Expo team said innovation was the top priority for their
selection and they would finalize the exhibition scheme based on public opinion.
Those whose ideas are adopted will win round-trip flight tickets between
Shanghai and Singapore, tickets to the 2010 Expo and free hotel accommodation.

Singapore demonstrated that a country with limited land resources could also
develop into a livable metropolis.

the experience of Singapore in building and managing a garden city can be shared
by the Chinese.
