Djibouti will showcase the economic development of its capital, Djibouti City, during World Expo 2010.

The northeast African country signed a participation contract by mail today with Expo organizers.

The country will also showcase its rich tourism resources, traditional handicraft industries as well as its high-tech achievements during the Expo. A traditional Djibouti house will be the country's main exhibit.

Djibouti confirmed its participation at Expo 2010 in July 2006. It is the 83rd country to sign a contract with organizers.
