The Republic of Uzbekistan confirmed it will showcase the diversity of its cities at the Shanghai World Expo as it signed a participation contract with organizers in mid-August.

The Asian country's economic prosperity, scientific development and coordinated development in urban and rural areas will also be on show, officials said.
