Bai Wenhua, chairman of the Shanghai World Expo Land Holding Co Ltd, today met with Laura Fincato, deputy Mayor of Venice, Italy.

Bai thanked Italy for its interest in the Urban Best Practices Area. Venice have already submitted three cases to the International Selection Committee and presented them at the Expo Forum 2007 on Wednesday.

Fincato showed the pictures of the cases, saying that Venice is going to present a brand-new image of the city at the Shanghai Expo. It will also add more special elements, such as music, in showcasing the projects.

Bai suggested Venice submit realty cases from the north part of the area, such as buildings, to show their achievements in using ecological materials or saving energy. The city could also use the space in the building to display innovation plans and projects.

Fincato thanked the city for the constructive suggestions and said they will rearrange their cases as well as consider innovative ideas for displaying.
