2006 Shanghai Expo Legal Forum

2006 Shanghai Expo Legal Forum, jointly organized by Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination and Shanghai Law Society, will be held on December 29, 2006 (Friday) at the Shanghai Library (1555 Middle Huai Hai Road, Shanghai China). The theme of the Forum is Legal Issues concerning the Operation and Management of Shanghai Expo.

The Shanghai Expo Legal Forum is organized once a year. By inviting the learnt experts and professionals within the peer to share thoughts and valuable experience at the relevant area of law, the conference carries the mission of discussing the legal issues with regard to the Shanghai Expo preparative work, and provides constructive advice to the decision makers of Shanghai Expo. On the basis of introducing the preliminary plan of operation and management for Shanghai Expo and concluding the experiences of operation and management of Ai-chi Expo, the Forum will further discuss the legal issues concerning commercial activities, service-suppliers and ticketing management in Shanghai Expo operation. Relevant government officials, legal experts, lawyers, representatives from foreign counsels in shanghai and leaders of enterprises, around 250 guests, will be invited to attend the Forum. During the one-day program, the interaction section will be arranged in the conference agenda.

In response to the support and attention of the society to Shanghai Expo, the Forum Organizers plan to invite a restricted number of representatives from the public to attend the Forum. The applicant is invited to complete the Application Form and send it by Fax 86 21 2206 0635 to the Legal Department of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination before December 15, 2006. Upon the receipt of the Application Form, under the Organizers sole discretion, the Organizers will send the official Invitation Letter to the admitted applicant at least one week before the Forum.
