Recruitment of the Second Recommended Services Suppliers for the Expo Participants

This is to announce that Shanghai World Expo Operation and Management Co., Ltd. is authorized (by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination) to openly recruit the second recommended services suppliers for Expo participants from all walks of life, with the principle of "open, fair and just". Matters of concern are listed as follows:

1. Project Name

The second recommended services suppliers for participants of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China (hereinafter known as "recommended services suppliers").

2. Recruiter

Shanghai World Expo Operation and Management Co., Ltd.

3. Goal

In line with the commitments made in the Application for Registration of World Expo 2010 Shanghai China as well as referring to the convention of World Expos, the host shall select some well-qualified recommended services suppliers through public recruitment, in order to meet the service demands of Expo participants and to provide an opportunity for the whole society to participate in the World Expo.

4. Categories of Services and Number of Suppliers

(1) Building engineering services suppliers (10-15): provide building construction services for pavilions prepared by the Expo participants as required.

(2) Finishing & decoration services suppliers (20-25): provide interior and exterior finishing & decoration services for pavilions and structures as required, to ensure the environmental quality requirements of relevant spaces be met..

(3) Exhibition engineering services suppliers (15-20): provide erection, mobilization and demobilization services during preparation of exhibitions as required.

(4) Logistics services suppliers (15-20): provide logistics related services, including import & export declaration and inspection, transportation, storage, on-site handling, and express delivery, etc, as required by the Expo participants.

(5) Equipment leasing services suppliers (5-10): provide leasing services of various equipment, tools, furniture and office supplies as required by the Expo participants.

(6) Human resources services suppliers (5-10): dispatch and engage various service staff as required by the Expo participants.

(7) Pavilion operation & management services suppliers (10-15): provide pavilion operation and management services and some realty management services, including housekeeping and maintenance, etc, as required by the Expo participants.

(8) Security services suppliers (3-6): provide design and installation of security and access control facilities within pavilions as required the Expo participants.

(9) Public relation & advertising services suppliers (20-25): provide public relation and liaison services of "pavilion day" activities, propagandas and performances, as well as advertising and publicizing services as required by the Expo participants during their participation.

(10) Legal services suppliers (20-25): provide legal consultation and IPR application services, etc, as required by the Expo participants.

Proper plus or minus of final selected suppliers could be made as required by the status quo during recruitment.

5. Requirements

(1) The applicant for a recommended engineering services supplier of following four categories (including exhibition engineering services, equipment leasing services, pavilion operation & management services, and Public relation & advertising services) shall be a corporation or other organisation, either in China or aboard, that is valid and established in accordance with the laws of the country of registration.

(2) The applicant for a recommended engineering services supplier of following six categories (including architecture, Finishing & decoration services, Logistics services, Human resources services, Security services, and Legal services) shall be a valid corporation or other organisation, registered in China according to relevant laws.

(3) The applicant shall obtain relevant qualifications of the aforesaid professional services with a suitable registered capital accountable for the services to be undertaken. The applicant shall be a leading corporation of its industry, with prominent achievements and a sound financial standing.

(4) The applicant shall have a good corporate image and social identity as well as a favorable commercial credit, with an enthusiasm to participate in World Expo 2010 Shanghai China.

(5) The applicant shall have a quite number of qualified professional staff.

(6) The applicant shall submit its application documents solely.

(7) The applicant shall submit a reasonable offer.

6. Process

The applicant could sign up to receive the Recruitment Documents and provide application materials in a timely manner. After conformance check, the documents will be submitted to the expert panel for review and evaluation. Final results, approved by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination will be publicized at the Expo official website (www.expo2010china.com).
