Extension of the Deadline for the "Request for UBPA Self-Recommended Exhibition Cases Proposals"

After the announcement of "Request for UBPA Self-Recommended Exhibition Cases Proposals" dated May 14th, 2007, the UBPA project has drawn a worldwide attention and won positive responses from the international community. Many cities from home and abroad have officially submitted their proposals to the Organizer as requested.

In order to attract more high quality practices and enable a wider participation of cities in this unprecedented project, the Organizer of Shanghai World Expo decided to extend the deadline of Self-Recommended Exhibition Cases from August 31st, 2007 to January 31st, 2008, taking into account the suggestions given by the BIE and requests from many cities and regions.

Apart from the "Expressions of interest form for UBPA", cities or regions that submit their proposals during the period from September 1st, 2007 to January 31st, 2008 are required to submit the exhibition master plan of the proposed cases, which includes a statement of the theme development, ways of display and an introduction of the master plan.
