 The World Expo 2010 Shanghai China Theme Song Solicitation & Collection: Commitment Letter of Entrants

The Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination (BSWEC) :

The promisee (Signatory hereunder) is making the commitment hereinafter on the basis of being fully aware of and willingly accepting "the Rules for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China Theme Song Solicitation & Collection hereunder":

(1) The promisee is committed to being the creator of the entries submitted in the letter which declares desire to take part in the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China Theme Song Solicitation & Collection. The promisee is committed to having not used or exploited the utility of the entry in any form or entrusted any third party to use or exploit the utility of the entries in any form around the world.

(2) The promisee states that the entry is originally created by the himself or herself and has not yet published or performed the entry in public in any form. The entry does not belong to publicized work.

(3) The promisee agrees that once the entry is chosen in this selection, the copyright of the entry shall belong to BSWEC while the promisee only enjoys the right to affix his or her signature.

(4) The promisee shall claim no reward from the entry except relative rewards obtained in accordance with "Solicitation & Collection Rules."

(5) The promisee is committed to the fact that the commitment is authentic and reliable and will be fulfilled with goodwill. The promisee shall compensate BSWEC for all losses if he or she violates the commitment and subsequently brings about damage to BSWEC and causes it to become responsible for legal obligations.

(6) The promisee is committed that the entry does not infringe the legal interests of any third party. Any claim, lawsuit or arbitrary BSWEC shall face because the entry of the promisee infringes the legal rights of a third party or due to other faults of the promisee, BSWEC preserves the right to look into legal obligations of the promisee.

(7) The commitment letter shall be explained by laws of the People's Republic of China.

(8) The commitment letter comes into effect since the day the promisee signs his or her name (or stamp his or her seal.)
