China Eastern Airlines, the first partner for Shanghai Expo, yesterday
announced the start of a five-year flight-service program for Expo 2010.
According to the announcement, China Eastern Airlines will establish
all-weather ground service desks in Pudong and Hongqiao Airports in five years
to reduce check-in times."It will take less than 10 minutes to finish the
check-in,"said an officer.
Outstanding employees in China Eastern Airlines will be selected to form an
Expo crew group soon.
"We will give every passenger a guideline for traveling in Shanghai that
covers local tourism attractions and pavilions at Shanghai Expo as well,"he
added.
By 2010, passengers from all over the world can access flight schedules via
short messages and emails. China Eastern Airlines is preparing a comprehensive
ground-service network for information release, advertisement, reservation and
traveling guidance.
China Eastern Airlines plans to open a Shanghai-to-Frankfurt flight this
year, and a flight from Shanghai to New York is also being planned.
