On Saturday May 26th, the representatives of the BIE member states, who attended the symposium, visited the site of the future Port Tangier Med. This was an opportunity to discover this major project.

The new port of Tangier, in fact, will be the biggest port in the Mediterranean sea, making the region a crossroad between Europe, Asia and the Americas. This is also the promise of 140.000 new jobs and an important development for all of Morocco.

This visit was followed by a visit of the site selected to host the Expo.

Finally, the cultural and sport associations of citizens organised an outdoor dance and music performance, that went on despite the whims of the whether. The delegates truly appreciated the determination of all those that despite a heavy rain offered them an outstanding welcome.
