A delegation of former Chinese ambassadors in Africa visited the Shanghai
Expo Bureau to talk about the participation of African nations and its pavilion.
Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, met the
delegation led by Liu Guijin, China’s special representative of African affairs.
Hong said he hopes the former ambassadors will help African nations design and
develop a good pavilion theme.
Hua Junduo, commissioner general for World Expo 2010, also met the delegation
to talk about the exhibition planning and the overall design of the African
Pavilion.
Shanghai Expo Bureau established a special consultant group of Africa
consisting of five former ambassadors stationed on the continent. They were
recommended by China’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.
