The delegation visits the master plan exhibition hall in the Expo Mansion.

Hong Hao, director of the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination, yesterday met with Ma Si-hang, Hong Kong's secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, and talked about the Hong Kong's participation in the Urban Best Practices Area.

Hong introduced the participation process for the UBPA. Hong said the organisers welcome Hong Kong to participate in the UBPA exhibition and hope the city could exhibit the essence of Chinese traditional culture.

Hong said World Expo Shanghai is a good opportunity for a city to showcase itself. Hong Kong is a part of China. The organisers hope it could interact with the other provinces and cities in China.

Ma thanked Hong's introduction. Ma said Hong Kong is very interested in UBPA and has already designed the exhibition plan, which mainly focuses on the infrastructures, transportation and telecommunications.
